Manhole Cover Assembly ADR/EN – DOT

KALYMNOS FUEL ENGINEERING presents its complete range of tank truck manhole covers, engineered to meet and exceed the stringent requirements of both European (ADR/EN) and North American (DOT) standards.

For European & ADR Markets:
The SK4500Al (aluminum) and SK4500St (steel) models are certified for impact resistance (Drop Test), in full compliance with standards EN13317, EN13314, and EN14596, ensuring maximum safety.

For North American & DOT Market:
We offer specialized designs conforming to DOT MC406 standards, available in 16” and 20” diameters. For installation flexibility, variants with a bolting system or a clamping ring are available.

Common Quality Feature:
All KALYMNOS FUEL ENGINEERING manhole covers, regardless of the standard, include as a standard component the SK3250 Fitting Cover, ensuring a complete and safe solution for every application.

An Ø500 mm manhole cover assembly designed in accordance with ADR regulation requirements, offering unparalleled safety and operational features.

  • Design & Certification: Manufactured in compliance with EN13317, EN14596, and EN13314 standards.
  • Superior Strength: Exceeds the requirements of the EN DROP TEST (EN 13317:2002).
  • Integrated Safety Fitting: Ø250 filling hole cover with an integrated emergency pressure relief valve, conforming to EN14596:2005 and EN13314:2002.
  • Safe Operation: Two-stage opening and a built-in locking mechanism eliminate the risk of accidental opening.
  • Venting Connection: 2″ NPT port for installing the tank compartment breather valve.
  • Accessory Ports: Available with various port options for installing level gauging equipment, vapor recovery, and overfill prevention sensors.
  • Mounting: 24 x Ø9.5mm mounting holes on a Ø530mm PCD.
  • Seals: NBR gaskets, suitable for fuel products.
  • Operating Temperature: -20°C to +50°C. A low-temperature variant is available for -32°C to +50°C.
  • Pressure Rating:

    • Maximum Operating Pressure: 22 kPa

    • Pressure Relief Setting           : 28 kPa

    • Pressure Relief Capacity        : 6,500 m³/h @ 35 kP

  • Total Weight: 13.5 kg
