Air Valves (Airline Valves)

An air valve allows the tank to be connected to a vapour line or a compressed air supply for three primary purposes:

• Vapour recovery
• Removal of unwanted or hazardous contents, such as gases, residues, or impurities (purging) from the tank
• Acceleration of cargo discharge

Technical Specifications
This function is typically served by a 40mm or 50mm Ball Valve or Butterfly Valve. KALYMNOS FUEL ENGINEERING supplies FORT VALE air valves with threaded or flanged connections.
